Frequently Asked Questions
You May Be Wondering…
Do I need counseling?
“People in therapy are often in therapy to deal with the people in their lives who won’t go to therapy.” Unknown
Sometimes people think that only damaged people need counseling. The truth is, the majority of people who seek counseling are ordinary people who are struggling with everyday human problems who may be just trying to figure things out. There are also those of us who have hurts from their past and would like to “get past the past,” but this can be difficult to work through alone.
If you are feeling stuck, using unhealthy coping mechanisms, having relationship problems or just not feeling yourself, you may benefit from professional counseling.
What can I expect from sex therapy?
We offer a safe, supportive, judgment-free space where you can explore your sexual desires, overcome challenges, and build deeper connection. We can address sexual dysfunction concerns, desire differences, heal from sexual abuse, and explore any negative messages about sex that may have impacted your experiences and relationships.
How long will I be in therapy?
No two people are alike, therefore therapy may look different for each of our clients. We tailor our counseling services to match the needs of our clients.
Our purpose is to help you reach your goals as soon as possible and to give you the necessary tools to be able to live the life you are designed to live. The number of sessions depends on many factors, and we will be able to give you a better idea after we have had a chance to meet.
